Homeland: Lay to Rest - UX  / Encounter / Level Designer

Homeland is a third person action/adventure game where the player throws a chakram to defeat enemies and solve puzzles.
What did I do?
  • ​Researched and designed areas that fit the setting and theme of the game
  • Extensively tested areas to make sure the flow and the feel of the game felt right
  • Planned combat encounters to fit the difficulty level intended for each area
  • Designed dynamic arenas to use for both combat and boss encounters
  • Went through the game to adjust the feel of the game to fit the intended vision

A 2D single-player PC runner game with an urban neon aesthetic where the player helps a fallen ion star to recharge and navigate a near-future city to return to the sky.
What did I do?
  • ​​Collaborated with a team to create an overall vision for the game
  • Decided which elements to include and get rid off to fit deadlines
  • Create an experience tailored for the targeted audience for the game
  • Created maps and edited maps and levels for the game
  • Supervised the creation of aspects of the game to fit the experience
