UX / Level Designer

Level Design
  • ​Sketched out and designed levels, planning routes and focal points
  • White-boxed each level in Unreal, utilizing basic geometry and shapes
  • Play-tested each level, making sure the flow and feel was how it was intended
  • Made a new pass on each level, adding in textures and props, as well as new geometry 
UX Design
  • ​Researched the location and attributes of the setting of the game
  • Planned audio and visual feedback for the different actions in the game
  • Made sure the game feels how it was intended through each aspect of it
Encounter Design
  • ​Planned and tested different standards for the games combat to be adhered to, separated by difficulty
  • Tested the games combat in a variety of different environments and layouts 
  • Tested different encounters with enemies to create a baseline difficulty to be adapted at sections in the game
  • Used the baseline to place combat encounters where they are needed in sections depending on the planned difficulty of each area
